Joan Pere Viladecans was born in Barcelona in 1948. In a first moment it showed interest in the poetry, the music and the fine arts and was through them that it discovered its vocation for the paint.

In 1967 he carries out a series of paints inspired by the work of Salvador Espriu. In January 1969 he does its first exhibition in Room Gaspar, with presentation of Joan Brossa. From this date, it carries out and international and national exhibitions, Johanesburg, Toronto, Madrid, Seville, Washington, Cologne, New York, Taipei, Stockholm. He carries out multiple posters and covers of books, newspapers and disks. In 1971 he takes part (together with other intellectuals and artists) in the closing in Montserrat in protest against the Judgment of Boroughs and the death sentence.

In 1971 he wins the prize “Primer Premi Internacional d'Art Jove” in Granollers. It projects the scenography “Calaix de Sastre” with the companyía “Claca” in homenatge to George Mèliés.
