Valerio Adami (Bologna, March 17, 1935) is a painter, designer and Italian engraver whose style is based on Cubism.

Recognized as one of the greatest living European artists, Valerio Adami is distinguished by its personal style, synthesis of Cubism, Futurism and Pop art.

Get a solid grounding in the study of Achille Funi at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan (1951-1954). He settled in Paris in 1957, and thereafter operates straddles France and Italy.

His initial style is expressionist, and combines violent and humorous images, under the influence of Roberto Matta and comic strips.

Starring in his first major exhibition in 1962 (London, Institute of Contemporary Art), and soon participates in Documenta III of Kassel.

In the mid-60s, his best-known fixed Adami, pop-influenced style: stylized images, outlined in black on areas of intense flat colors. Its creative process starts of photographs and other images of its surroundings, Crumbling, combines and presents in schematic form.

Its success is fast, and in 1968 represents Italy in the Venice Biennale...
